Loaded Envelope-Shabby Chic

Hello my friends, thanks for stopping by.  I have something different to share with you today.  Its a loaded envelope on the shabby chic side.   I ran across a you tube tutorial of the loaded envelope and decided to give it a try.  I am going to be honest,  I didn't understand the concept of the loaded envelope.   After making one I realized its a way to pack some goodies for friend mail.  Similar to the pocket letter trend or flip book trend.

I started with a 6x9 envelope and cut it down the middle at 3 inches to give it that fold over look.  I then decorated the envelope with papers from my stash.  I used a mixture of prima and wild orchid craft flowers to decorate the outside.  I added a pocket and used a Martha Stewart border punch to give it some additional details.   I used several dies from my stash to create the tags.  I created different size envelopes using my envelope punch board to tuck inside that includes goodies for a friend.  The sentiment is from a vellum sticker by Anna Griffin.  I love the way this turned out and see many more in my future.  Hope this inspires you to create something beautiful.  Happy Crafting!

Blue: B37, 99, 95, 28, 24

I decided to create an easel card using papers from a recollections paper pad I picked up  from Michaels a while back.  I  colored the image using my copics and cut her out using a La-La Land Crafts stitched oval die.  The book frame and mini book die are all from the La-La Land club kit for May 2016.  The sentiment, "Hey smartypants" is from a stamp set I've had in my stash for a long time.  I am glad I was able to find a card to place the sentiment on. I wrote a message inside the card  to wish her luck in the coming school year.  She will receive the card in the mail this week.  I didn't tell her it was coming, I wanted it to be a surprise.    That's it for now, thanks for stopping by.

Disney Mini Album

Hello my friends, thanks for stopping by.  Today I am sharing a cute Disney mini album.  I love the way this mini album turned out, and Mickey is one of my favorite characters.   I made this album with my friend's daughter in mind.  She went to Disney World earlier this summer and took a bunch of photos.  I followed a tutorial from Corenescreations and I linked the tutorial here. The album measures 71/2x 51/2 and can hold over 40 pictures.

I used the magical adventure collection from echo park.  I love these papers, they went well with my base.    The embellishments are from a Mickey Mouse sticker pack I picked up at Joanne's.  That's it for now, have a great day!

Magnolia Tilda fully loaded

Happy Tuesday, also known as the day before HUMP DAY.  I can see the weekend, only if it can hurry and get here.  I have a  shaped easel card to share for today's post using a cute magnolia tilda stamp from the pink lemonade collection called Tilda with a Big Big Rose which you can find here.   Shaped cards are my favorite to make as there are so many shapes that can be used to create a card.    I colored the image using copics and used many of my magnolia doohickey or vintage box dies throughout the card.  I love using my magnolia dies, they really bring my cards to life.   I used some wild orchid crafts as well as prima flowers to finish off the card.

Woohoo..... First blog post for 2016.

Wow...... I can't believe I have finally decided to join the blog world.  I am looking forward to this new adventure.  Thanks for stopping by, hopefully you will find something that will inspire you to get crafty.   Well let's jump right in shall we.  I am starting off my first post with a card for the quick creations challenge blog.  The theme for this month's challenge is stars and stripes.  I decided to go with a cute magnolia stamp called Tilda in the garden from the Pink Lemonade collection.  You can find the stamp here.  I colored the image with my copics and added her to a 6x6 card.   I also added several dies from the magnolia doohicky club volumes 3, 4, and 6 .  The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp and is so fitting for this card.  I need to get into the habit of making more just because cards to send out to some of my crafty friends to let them know I am thinking about them.  Well that's it for now,  thanks for stopping by.
